About

Meet Madeleine De Angelis. Like any Brighton & Hove native, she can be found walking the pebbled beaches gazing out at sea with the sound of gulls and the crash of waves or rambling over the South Downs National Park soaking up the sounds and colours of the rolling chalk hills.
Madeleine captures the essence of the light and texture of the emotions felt in this awe-inspiring land and seascape that she calls her home.

Madeleine is thrilled to have made it through round 1 of the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition '24 after previously exhibiting summer '22. Additionally, she was commissioned by Sussex University to create a painting, now proudly on permanent display within their library.

In March 2023, Madeleine curated an environmentally-themed exhibition at Worthing Museum & Art Gallery. To provoke thought and reflection on our connection to the wider natural world.

Madeleine’s journey into the realm of art began with studying fashion at Eastbourne College of Art, followed by earning a bursary to Harrow School of Art & Design.
Over the years, her work has graced prestigious galleries including the Royal Academy of Art London Summer 22 Exhibition, IO Gallery Brighton, and Green & Stone Gallery Fulham 23.

Collaborations have been a cornerstone of her artistic exploration, including notable endeavours such as the Linden Hall Studio / Goodnestone House collaboration in 22.
